The NYS Forum is pleased to announce the formation of a SharePoint Community of Practice group. The purpose of a NYS Forum Community of Practice group is to provide a setting for the community to focus on a technology established in NYS government. NYS Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) has adopted a single operating platform, Office365, for consolidated Office applications and email in a cloud based system for the agencies ITS supports. ITS has expressed interest in ensuring that its users take advantage of the enterprise tools made available to its customers.

The goal of this group is to maximize the utilization of the SharePoint platform in ways which will assist NYS government to increase the efficiency of business processes. The community of practice group will provide a venue for knowledge share and develop presentations which will further education and adoption of the platform.
