Good estimates - a major key to project success and often one of the biggest challenges within a project. Come and learn from seasoned project professionals estimating tips, tools and best practices for waterfall and agile approaches. Learn how to develop realistic estimates which you and your team can support and leverage for maximum project accountability and project success.


Jonathan Blake is a PMP with over 30 years of consulting experience, helping organizations elevate their maturity in the areas of project, program and portfolio management, and IT governance. He's currently a Senior Director of the Global Project Management Office at NTT DATA Inc.

Matthew Carmichael - is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and the founder of SaQus IT Solutions, an Agile software development company. Since 1996, Matt has authored over 300 software products, specializing in custom applications for organizations that have unique processes which cannot be fulfilled by off-the-shelf software. Matt has created business critical applications for organizations such as GE Plastics, SI Group, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the New York State Education Department, and the New York State Office of the Comptroller. Matt has over 20,000 hours of Agile project experience serving in various roles including: Scrum Master, project team manager, project team member and product owner. He has provided Agile training to project teams and executive management. He specializes in presenting Agile software development to those without technology backgrounds. Recently, Matt authored a software tool to help Agile teams become more effective and collaborative within their team environment. Matt is currently assisting the New York State Comptroller's Office in implementing the Statewide Financial System upgrade (SFS EE1) and the Grant's Gateway Initiative.
