Albany Workgroup February 2017 Meetings

Are you interested in collaborating with your peers? Learning of technology advances? Hearing about upcoming knowledge share events? Sharing your ideas on topics important to you and your agency?

The NYS Forum Workgroups provide the opportunity for the New York government and IT business communities to come together to collaborate, share knowledge and lessons learned, develop methodologies for supporting government program and business goals and experience peer networking.

Please take this opportunity, on February 7th & 8th, to attend a Workgroup meeting or meetings. You will meet the Workgroup members, experience a Workgroup topical discussion and share your ideas on topics you feel are important to you and your organization. Informative and knowledge-share topics are being planned for each Workgroup meeting.

10:00 - 11:00 am: The Web and Accessibility Workgroup / Drupal Community of Practice: to provide a means for those individuals within government that have responsibilities for their agencies digital presence to share ideas, issues, and solutions.

1:30pm - 2:30pm: The Business Continuity Workgroup: to develop education and training opportunities that address the continuity of operations planning needs of the government community.

3:00pm - 4:00pm: The Project Management Workgroup: to support government entities and government project managers as they implement project management standards and practices.


8:30 - 9:30 am: The Business Analysis / Business Architecture Workgroup: to support the government business analyst's community with training and knowledge share best practices.

10:00 - 11:00 am: The Business Innovation and Emerging Technologies Workgroup: to provide an avenue for government and the private sector to exchange information related to new technologies and innovative uses of currently employed technologies.

1:30pm - 2:30pm: The Information Security Workgroup: to develop education and training opportunities and tools that address cyber security issues.

3:00pm - 4:00pm: The IT Procurement Workgroup: to review and suggest enhancements to the IT procurement process and to provide timely education and training.
