Presentation Overview:

This Software Defined Networking session will cover the fundamental elements of what makes software defined networks and cloud technologies work. Included will be how important the network is when it comes to using hosted products. Also covered will be mainframe to client-server applications and their transformation into the cloud. The presenters will explore how Open Networking, through both open ecosystem and open source technologies, is transforming the IT industry, redefining the fundamental economics and reshaping organizational landscapes.

Those presenting will provide a vendor agnostic discussion on the challenges and opportunities Software Defined Networks present to state and local government. They will highlight the agile framework and operational efficiencies derived. Their conversations will also include opportunities for secure public and private cloud adoption, along with disaster recovery optimization.
