Call for Presenters

The NYS Forum Business Innovation & Emerging Technologies is soliciting presentation submissions to be considered for a series on Containerization.

Submission due date: July 20, 2018
Session Dates: TBD - Expectations are for sessions at 2-4 week intervals, beginning July 2018
Time: TBD - 90-120 minute morning or afternoon sessions
Location: The NYS Forum - 24 Aviation Road, Suite 206, Albany New York

Session Description

New York State ITS Leadership has requested a series focused on developing staff knowledge and expertise with the why, when and how of containerization. Each session will address either one, two or possibly three topics. The timing of sessions and topic sequence will be determined after submissions are reviewed.

Target Audience

NYS Solution Developers, Architects and Operational Staff

Format (90-120 minutes):

  • 2 or 3 Speakers / Facilitators
  • Informative Content Presentations (20 minutes of content at SME level)
  • Facilitated Audience Discussion

  • How have other government entities managed RFP terms & conditions for future container use?

Please Note: To be considered for these sessions, your submission must document your presenter's expert level knowledge and experience with containerization.

All presentations must be vendor neutral. Presentation content will be vetted by members of The NYS Forum Work Groups hosting this event. Feedback and recommendations regarding final presentation material will be provided by this group.


Presentation Guidelines - Rules of Engagement

  • Presentation must be made using The NYS Forum's Power Point template.
  • Presenter corporate logo and contact information should appear on the first and last Power Point slides only. Corporate logo must not appear on each individual slide.
  • The presenter must discuss the topic at an expert level, and direct the presentation toward the specific targeted audience identified.
  • Session times will vary. Duration may be between 60 - 120 minutes. 20 minutes of prepared content will be expected of each presenter.


  • 6/8/2018 - Call for presenters distributed to vendor community.
  • 7/20/2018 - Deadline for proposals from vendors.

As presentations are selected, presenters and/or their contacts will be notified to discuss an appropriate date, time and place for the presentation. The full schedule, as it pertains to draft and final Power Point presentation due dates, will be determined and provided accordingly to the event date.
