PM Community Of Practice (PMCOP) Meeting: Project Review

Session Overview

The next Project Manager Community of Practice Meeting will be held on December 16th. The session will be the second in a series of meetings that will provide an overview of major New York State projects.

The New York State Comptroller has implemented the first phase of a web based system that allows vendors to complete an on-line Vendor Responsibility questionnaire which State Agencies can access during their responsibility reviews. Lynn Hanson and Jay Walsh, from the New York State Comptroller, will review project planning activities that have been used in the development of the system (the successful and unsuccessful), lessons learned during the first phase and where the system is going in the next phase.

When 9 million New Yorkers file their tax returns next April, they must have the forms and instructions in order to prepare their returns. This is the project that prints and distributes the forms and instructions. Vivian Conboy, from the NY State Department of Tax and Finance will present an overview of the project that prints and distributes the forms and instructions.

This is a great opportunity to learn about current New York State projects and how Project Management techniques are being applied!
