PMO Roundtable Meeting Registration

The PMO Roundtable of the NYS Forum Project Management Committee presents Supporting Project Portfolio Management: The role of the PMO.

Following a very successful Executive session entitled, How Project Portfolio Management Can Benefit Your Agency, this session will explore how the various agency Project Management Offices (PMOs) can support the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) process.


  • PPM Overview

    A presentation by Michael LaFrancis of Gartner

  • Supporting the PPM from the staff (PMO) level

    A panel discussion by representatives from the Office for Technology (Terry Remillard), the Department of Taxation and Finance (Carol Velesco), the Office of General Services (Susan Mardon) and the Office of the State Comptroller (Kirk Schanzenbach), will describe how their PMOs support the PPM process by facilitating the organizational decision making for project selection, publishing project metrics used in managing the portfolio, introducing the right tools for Governance and Portfolio Management, and other activities. They will also discuss any synergies with the Annual Technology Planning process.

    An opportunity for all attendees to ask questions of the presenter and the panel.

The session will also include, as usual, a General Discussion segment, where any PMO Roundtable member can query their fellow attendees on any topic pertaining to introduction and implementation of Project Management in their agency.
