PMO Roundtable Meeting Registration

The PMO Roundtable of the NYS Forum Project Management Committee presents PMO "Flavors": Different Paths to Success for Different Organizations.

As many NYS agencies are implementing PM Methodology and establishing Project Management Offices, they are realizing that the concept of a PMO can be used in many ways to accomplish a variety of goals. In this session, we will explore the various "flavors" of PMO and discover different methods for successfully establishing and using this scalable construct.

  • PMO "Flavors"

    A presentation by Steve Monahan of Gartner and Jonathan Blake of Keane;

  • Different paths to success

    A panel discussion by PMO leads from Department of Environmental Conservation (Leslie Brennan), Tax and Finance (Carol Velesco), Department of Criminal Justice Services (Barbara Gordon), Office for Technology - State Wireless Network (Larry Toole) and Office of the State Comptroller - FOCAS (Roseanne Kryjak), who will describe how their PMO came into being, how they became successful, and what plans they have for evolving them further;

  • Questions and Answers

    An opportunity for all attendees to ask questions of the presenter and the panel.

The meeting will also include, as usual, a General Discussion segment, where any PMO Roundtable member can query their fellow attendees on any topic pertaining to introduction and implementation of Project Management in their agency. In addition, we will discuss how the members should contribute to and utilize the PMO Roundtable Repository maintained by the OFT.
