Presentation Overview

Innovation is not just a buzz word; every employee regardless of their role in their organization can innovate! The projects featured in the Culture of Innovation in NYC Government Series are examples which allow staff to see why and how others in government have developed innovative solutions in addressing ordinary challenges to the benefit of the people of New York.

The NYC Department of Education (DOE) employed an innovative fast build process to create a digital online tool version of the print NYC High School Directory. A few of the project highlights to be covered will be a minimum viable product (MVP) challenge, DOE and vendor paired teams, use of extreme programming, Agile methodology and vendor dependency mitigation. The School Finder Application presentation will examine the development aspects of business case creation, product vision, solution methodology and lessons learned.

You will have the opportunity to dialogue with the development and business owner representatives involved with this leading-edge project.

Join us in these sessions that are sure to inspire innovation in you!
